On Saturday, 13 Sep 08, Peace poster contest with theme "Pease begins with me" held at Kheow Bin School, Batu Caves. As early as 8.00am, parents, grandparents and children arrived to register their childred for the coloring contest. There were about 150 Students participated in the contest. Judging were conducted by our Lions Club Peace Poster Committee and the school teachers.
The posters are judged by its expression of the theme, meaning of world peace and artistic merit demonstrating ideas for reaching this goal.
The First prize student received toatl cash of RM200.
Second prize student received total cash of RM150.
Third prize student received cash of RM100.
20 merit prize was also distributed during the contest.
The 2 winning pieces was selected for the district contest and will need to submit before 30th of Oct to district governor.
We would like to thank the Organising Chairperson Lion SS Ong for successfully completed the project. Besides, Lion Kenny, Lion Richard Ong, Lion Jean , Lion Mathew, Lion Patrick Teng, Lion Sunny Wong, Lion Vincent Yeow & Lion Justin Low were attending to giving support to the project as well.
